With orders for 1-3-5 flying back and forth as a matter of course to specify noodle firmness, oil amount, and flavor richness by number, Tenho is a long-established ramen shop operating since 1984, marked by an oil-drum sign tucked away behind the main street in Roppongi. The flagship 1-3-5 soy sauce ramen features a punchy soup combining pork bones, soy sauce, and seafood, paired with yellow curly noodles from Hokkaido's Nishiyama Seimen. The rich Sapporo miso ramen and rice bowls topped with garlic-soy chashu pork are also well regarded, and alternating bites with complimentary small rice is said to be the classic way to enjoy the meal. The fully non-smoking space consists of 6 counter seats and 4 tables, and its reputation for quick serving provides reassuring convenience whether you are dropping in for a solo lunch or finishing a night out after drinks.
