Standing along Kyu-Yamate-dori in Daikanyama, Madame Toki is a long-standing French restaurant founded in 1978 in a standalone Western-style mansion. Its stately interior, antique furniture, and lush garden evoke an extraordinary ambiance, complete with spacious table seats and semi-private rooms that can accommodate 6 to 12 guests. The cuisine focuses on seafood, earning acclaim for seasonal dishes such as an appetizer combining botan shrimp and sea urchin in consommé jelly, as well as a chilled soup featuring the delicate sweetness of white peach paired with mint. Guests also appreciate the selection of several kinds of homemade bread, including focaccia and red wine bread. The finale is the famous dessert cart, where you can select as many portions as you like from around 10 kinds of cakes and puddings. Along with humorous hospitality from servers who present each dish like a story, the restaurant offers anniversary services such as commemorative photography and message plates, making it a popular choice for birthdays and wedding anniversaries. Paired with wines selected by the sommelier, it is an establishment best visited slightly dressed up.
