Spice Ramen Manriki Akihabara presents its own unique genre of "spice ramen," combining 14 varieties of spices with chicken, pork, and seafood broth. The soup, layered with acidity from tomato, is known for being utterly unique and addictive, while springy medium-thick to thick noodles thoroughly bring out its complex aromas. Thick-cut, fall-apart chashu pork and crisp stir-fried bean sprouts pair wonderfully with the rich spices. When ordering, the staff will ask for your choice of coriander or onions, and guests can also request extra spiciness or spices, or switch up the flavor using the lemon-infused vinegar on the table. A sister shop to the main branch in Nishi-Kasai, the interior features an ethnic background soundtrack and a black color scheme, creating a chic ambiance distinct from typical ramen shops. With only 13 counter seats and a completely non-smoking environment, it is also a popular pick for solo diners on their way home from work.
