Just a short walk from JR Koenji Station, through a narrow alley between a greengrocer and a fishmonger, CURRY SHOP OZIRA Koenji sits in a corner of the Daiichi Market. It is a tiny 9-seat shop with counter and table seating, where you can take in the nostalgic atmosphere of a retro market lined with multinational stalls. Signature offerings include the pork vindaloo with a lingering red wine vinegar tang, the aromatic yet mildly spiced chicken curry featuring fall-apart tender meat, and the beef keema curry given texture by extra-coarsely minced beef and lotus root.
