Just a short walk from Naka-Meguro Station, Sekiya Spaghetti is a homemade spaghetti shop that insists on the principle of three fresh steps: kneading, boiling, and stir-frying the noodles only after an order is placed. The shop uses two types of noodles vacuum-compressed for firmness: an extra-thick 2.4mm strand and a flat 4.0mm ribbon. Its signature dish is the Napolitan, featuring thick, chewy noodles coated in a rich, sweet and savory ketchup sauce. A diverse menu offers options such as soy-sauce basilico fragrant with shrimp, basil, and shiso leaves, refreshing salt basilico with fresh ingredients, and seasonal specials. Guests can also change the flavor halfway through using chili oil and grated cheese on the tables. Portions range from regular 300g to big and double, with a popular set adding an unexpectedly generous salad and sweet onion soup. The 22-seat interior centers on counter seating and shared yellow large tables, is completely non-smoking, and serves food quickly, making it ideal for solo lunches or dining after work.
