Located on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal at New Chitose Airport, Gourmet Kaitensushi Kantaro New Chitose Airport is famous for its shellfish trio assortment featuring scallop, Sakhalin surf clam, and whelk. Its crunchy texture and rich sweetness bring the taste of the Hokkaido sea. The thick-cut, sweet and fatty salmon is renowned for its enhanced aroma when seared, and the menu also includes Pacific bluefin tuna otoro and chutoro, a roe trio piled with salmon roe, as well as Hokkaido specialties like Okhotsk atka mackerel and herring. Although there is a conveyor lane, sushi does not circulate; instead, chefs freshly press each piece on the spot when you order via the touch panel. The 69 seats are centered around the counter, making it easy to visit alone, and the entire restaurant is non-smoking with children welcome. Operating continuously from 11:00 to 20:00-range, it is ideal for fueling up before a flight or wrapping up your trip.
