Walking along Komachi-dori from Kamakura Station toward Tsurugaoka Hachimangu and heading up to the 2nd floor of the building, you will find OXYMORON komachi, a restaurant known for creative curry blending Japanese and ethnic flavors. Its signature dishes include the Japanese-style keema curry, which layers the savory Japanese flavors of miso and fish meal with dashi (Japanese soup stock) alongside spices and comes together smoothly with an onsen egg and chopped scallions, as well as the ethnic minced meat curry, enjoyed by mixing in plenty of herbs such as cilantro, shiso, and mitsuba, and squeezing lemon over it. With daily curry featuring rotating ingredients and refreshing homemade pickles on the side, sharing and comparing different flavors is another way to enjoy the meal.
