Perched on a hill in Odawara adjacent to the ruins of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Ichiyajo Castle, Ichiyajo Yoroizuka Farm is a farm-attached restaurant and patisserie opened by pastry chef Toshihiko Yoroizuka with a focus on local production for local consumption. Against a panoramic backdrop of Sagami Bay and the townscape of Odawara, dishes showcase ingredients from the on-site garden and local sources. Highlights include beef cheek braised in red wine, renowned for being so tender it requires no knife, an assortment of appetizers combining duck and whitefish, and 3 types of freshly baked bread with distinct flavors such as basil, rice flour, and raisin. For dessert, indulge in the signature Ichiyajo roll cake, choux a la creme piped with cream to order, and soft-serve ice cream featuring seasonal flavors.
