Yoshiike Shokudo is a 300-seat spacious dining hall located on the 9th floor of a building right outside the North Exit of Okachimachi Station. Window seats offer views of trains passing by the station platforms, Tokyo Skytree, and the townscape of Ueno, allowing guests to enjoy a drink while gazing at the night view in the evening. Fish dishes utilizing the same sourcing as the 1st-floor fresh fish store are the signature, with Hokkai-meshi topped with flaked salmon and salmon roe known as a popular specialty, while Pacific bluefin tuna tekka-don, sashimi, and freshly fried tempura also enjoy strong support. Sushi, Japanese, and Western dining sections are brought together on one floor, providing a unique style where guests at the same table can order from different culinary genres to match their preferences. Local sake focused on Niigata and Tochio jumbo deep-fried tofu topped with scallion miso are also popular, and some guests note that ordering via touchscreen tablets with photos ensures prompt service. Horigotatsu (sunken table seating) private rooms accommodate 8 to 40 guests, making the restaurant widely versatile for banquets, family meals, or daytime drinks at the counter.
