Bar & Lounge TwentyEight at Conrad Tokyo is a hotel lounge on the 28th floor overlooking Hama-rikyu Gardens, Tokyo Bay, and the Rainbow Bridge. Its signature afternoon tea changes theme and design each season, with motifs such as cherry blossoms, strawberries, and Halloween, featuring refreshing mousses and jellies and scones that are crisp outside and moist inside, served alongside a free-flow of about 20 kinds of tea and coffee. The original tea blending green tea and black tea with notes of plum and bergamot, as well as a lineup of drinks from mocktails to martinis, are also well regarded. The nearly 8-meter-high ceiling, large windows, and sofa seating with generous spacing between tables create an open atmosphere, and in the evening the space transforms into an adult setting with live music such as jazz. The attentive service, with staff checking in based on how much guests have left in their drinks, is also pleasant, making this a fitting spot for girls' nights out, dates, and anniversaries alike.
