Marked by a fairy-tale standalone house straight out of a picture book, Lilien Berg is a Viennese pastry shop founded in 1988, quietly nestled in a tranquil residential neighborhood of Shinyurigaoka. The signature Sachertorte is crafted with restrained sweetness, striking a harmonious balance between bitter chocolate and fresh whipped cream. The Mont Blanc with its gentle chestnut sweetness and the cream puffs filled with refined custard have also been beloved for years. In summer, pies layered with fully ripened peaches or mangoes make an appearance, drawing many returning visitors who come every year for the crisp, flaky crust. The selection of baked goods is also extensive, featuring buttery financiers and Engadiner, with gift boxes frequently chosen for presents. The attentive, considerate service is heartwarming, and visitors can happily enjoy their freshly purchased treats on the terrace seating.
