KATSU Mitori Meguro is widely known as an offshoot of the historic Midori in Umegaoka, celebrated for serving generously sized sushi toppings that spill over the plate at reasonable prices. High-grade fresh toppings comparable to luxury sushi bars start from the ¥100 range, featuring fragrant and fatty seared sardine, melt-in-your-mouth medium fatty tuna and premium fatty tuna, and a satisfyingly long piece of seared salmon. All 66 seats are at the counter, offering the lively experience of chefs preparing each piece right in front of you. Vegetable-packed chanko soup and fried crab or octopus are also well received as appetizers to accompany sake or shochu. Operating continuously from 11:00 to 22:00, it is easy to visit for a quick drink alone, a casual lunch, or a meal with friends, enjoying immense popularity with constant queues thanks to its direct connection to Meguro Station. Takeout nigiri sets are also available.
