As the first overseas branch of a long-established Milanese pizzeria, PIZZERIA SPONTINI Cascade Harajuku in Harajuku showcases pan-fried pizza about 3 cm thick. Baked in a wood-fired oven, the crust is crispy on the bottom and fluffy and chewy like bread inside, and even the simple Margherita with just mozzarella and tomato sauce is renowned for being thoroughly satisfying. The menu is based on 2 types: Margherita and cheese-free Marinara, which can be customized with toppings such as pancetta or prosciutto and arugula. Orders are placed and paid for first at the cash register using a numbered card system, allowing for quick service, and the bright, glass-walled interior is spacious with 75 seats. Just steps from Harajuku Station, it is completely non-smoking and barrier-free, with an 8-seat terrace where pets are also welcome. It caters to a wide range of visits, from a lunch stop while shopping to private hire for 20 or more people.
