teal is a specialty chocolate and gelato shop set on the 1st floor of the historic Nisshokan building in Nihombashi Kabutocho, showcasing a refined presence in the financial district. Known as a sister shop brought to life through a collaboration between a chocolatier and a pastry chef, its signature Amazon cacao gelato offers a rich aroma and bitterness yet a light texture on the palate, with brownie pieces layered underneath adding a textural accent. A wide variety of flavors is available, including pistachio, Amaou strawberry & yuzu, and milk, while the beautifully layered chocolate mousse cake "Cacao" also enjoys steady popularity. In summer, queues form for limited-edition sweets featuring whole peaches, sometimes selling out early in the day. The chic interior, complete with high ceilings and dried flower decorations, offers 12 entirely non-smoking seats with a 45-minute limit for dine-in guests. Individually wrapped baked goods are also ideal for takeout or gifts.
