Down a back alley near Shinsen Station, past an entrance that's a bit hard to find, is Oysyer&SpanishItalianBaru Spiral. Usually 8 to 14 kinds of oysters are lined up, and the specialty is comparing the differences in saltiness and sweetness by region, moving from light to rich flavors, with staff explaining the order to eat them and the characteristics of each region. The menu continues with dishes blending Spanish and Italian elements, from oyster and karasumi peperoncino and souffle omelet with porcini sauce to vivid carpaccio using seasonal fish sourced directly from producers. The performance of flambeing beef fillet right in front of guests is also popular, adding excitement to special occasions.
