Situated on the 1st floor of COREDO Muromachi 2, Imoya Kinjiro Nihonbashi is a specialty takeout shop run by a historic sweet potato confectionery maker from Kochi. Through the glass, visitors can watch artisans fry the signature freshly fried imo kenpi in the attached open workshop. Fried in a special oil blended with olive oil exclusively at the Nihonbashi location, these slender sweet potato sticks offer an addictive, light and crisp crunch paired with an elegant, non-greasy aftertaste. Alongside the classic treat, the shop features a diverse range of potato sweets, including shio kenpi with an addictive sweet-and-salty balance, and potato chips that bring out the natural flavor of the ingredients.
