Soudaishou is a soy sauce ramen shop with just 12 counter seats surrounding the kitchen, situated a short walk from Tenjinbashisuji 6-chome Station. Its "Kurodaishou" ramen uses twice-brewed soy sauce from Yuasa, Wakayama—considered the birthplace of soy sauce—creating a rich soup layered with the savory aroma of charred scallions and refreshing yuzu; many regulars also specifically order the dark soy sauce ramen with its robust bonito umami. Its other signature dish is the fluffy, separate-grain fried rice, which gained widespread acclaim after being featured and praised on television, prompting many visitors to come specifically for it. Other unique appeals include the firmness of homemade noodles crafted from a blend of multiple flours, as well as complimentary all-you-can-eat kimchi sourced from the Tenma Korean restaurant "Tamaichi." Accompanied by the sound of woks tossing, spirited staff calls, and walls lined with autographs, the space is filled with the lively buzz of an acclaimed eatery. Operating since 2004 as the flagship shop of the Shiogensui group, it stays open continuously until 24:00 and has dedicated parking right next to the shop.
