The star of XIRINGUITO Escriba SHIBUYA is the paella, slowly cooked over an open flame. The rice, infused with seafood and chicken stock, develops a fragrant crust, and the dish is topped colorfully with shrimp and mussels; it's introduced as authentic style to scrape it out with a wooden spoon and enjoy. The tapas selection keeps the table lively, including squid ink paella, fideuà (short pasta paella), patatas bravas tossed with spicy sauce and aioli, and Iberico raw ham airbag that you crack open with a hammer to eat. Large windows and blue interior create an open, beach-house-like atmosphere, and the open kitchen lets you watch the paella being finished. Directly connected to Shibuya Station's new south exit, you can drop by without getting wet on rainy days, and the lunch course, which includes everything from appetizers to dessert, is reputed to be good value.
