RIGOLETTO KITCHEN appears when you go down the spiral staircase underground in Ginza Corridor Street. With a spacious 90-seat floor and high ceilings, it's an Italian and Spanish restaurant that doesn't feel like a basement at all. The rich, creamy carbonara and bolognese, along with handmade short pasta, are well-regarded, while the pizza-available in half-and-half-and the paella topped with lobster and seafood are dishes meant for sharing. There's also the pleasure of pairing reasonably priced tapas in a wide variety and well-aged prosciutto with wine. Amid the lively atmosphere and open kitchen's sense of presence, the attentive service-checking in before your glass runs empty-is also well received. The restaurant is entirely non-smoking, equipped with Wi-Fi, and offers private rooms for 6 to 12 people as well as private hire for groups of 50 or more. With lights on until late at night, it's also convenient for girls' nights or as a second stop after drinks.
