Namahage Ginza is a regional cuisine restaurant in Ginza where you can fully savor the flavors of Akita, such as Hinai-jidori chicken and sandfish (hatahata). In the signature Kiritanpo hot pot, the rich soy-sauce-based dashi drawn from Hinai-jidori chicken soaks into the chewy kiritanpo rice cylinders and Japanese parsley (seri), releasing deep, wholesome umami. An abundance of drinking snacks, including aromatic grilled Hinai-jidori dishes and iburigakko smoked radishes, pair wonderfully with carefully selected local sake from Akita. Inside, tatami seating (zashiki) reminiscent of an old Akita folk house and kamakura-style semi-private rooms offer a calm, atmospheric setting. During banquets, Namahage figures appear with the beating of taiko drums to visit each table, warding off bad fortune and taking photos that bring great energy to the dining room.
