Mentoku Nidaime Tsujita Kojimachi is widely known as the very first founding shop of the expanding Tsujita Group, making it a revered spot for fans. The signature Nidaime Tsukemen pairs rich seafood and pork bone broth with chewy thick noodles; regulars follow the tradition of savoring it as is first, squeezing sudachi citrus for tartness next, adding black shichimi for a spicy finish, and finally drinking up the remaining broth with soup-wari. Both 200g and 300g portions of noodles are offered at the same price, earning appreciation for its generous value. The soft, runny seasoned boiled egg and the Japanese-style ramen perfumed with niboshi dried sardines and bonito flakes are also popular. The compact interior consists of just a noren curtain and 8 wooden counter seats, and is entirely non-smoking.
